Atlantis is an independent asset management boutique; 100% owner-managed since it was founded in 1994 by two ex-Schroder managers. We are dedicated exclusively to the management of Asian equity strategies.
Atlantis has three business areas which operate independently; Asia ex-Japan, China and Japan. Investment professionals are based in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore and each business is the responsibility of a leading portfolio manager. Risk management, operations and marketing are centralised in London, enabling our investment professionals to focus purely on what they do best.
Our expertise lies in investment driven by fundamentals, based on extensive primary research and a close relationship with company management, which enables us to tap into the growth potential in Asia.
We currently manage US$4bn of assets for global institutional clients, through the Atlantis fund range and segregated mandates which are offered in each of our business areas.
Each Atlantis business area is independent and the responsibility of a leading portfolio manager. The local presence of our highly experienced investment professionals enables us to identify undervalued and mispriced growth potential.
Our investment teams share a common approach to portfolio management. We target undervalued growth companies and tend to have a small to mid cap bias. Our process is not constrained by benchmarks and is based on intensive fundamental research. Stock-picking is a bottom-up process, in conjunction with a review of macro themes.
Our investment professionals visit over 2,500 companies each year and have access to senior management. Our on-the-ground research gives us our competitive edge in identifying a company’s potential and enables us to pick stocks that will produce superior performance. By leveraging our research capabilities and industry relationships we aim to invest in those companies with the potential to become industry leaders.
