Baring Global Resources Fund

The Objective for the Fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation trough in diversified portfolio of the securities of commodity producers, being companies engaged in the extraction, production, processing and or trading of commodities such as oil, gold, aluminium, coffee and sugar. The managers will identify worldwide commodities experiencing, or expected to experience, strong demand growth. The Fund will invest principally in the listed equity related securities of commodity producers, some of which may be relatively illiquid due to smaller capitalisation or being in new markets. Subject to the regulations, it may also invest to a limited extent in the shares of companies which are not yet listed but are expected to obtain a stockmarket quotation within a reasonable period of time. Such exposure will not affect the Manager’s ability to meet redemptions of units in the Funds.
