Baring US Plus Bond Fund

To maximise total return in US dollars by investing (under normal circumstances) at least 70 per cent of its assets in a diversified portfolio of investment grade US dollar denominated bonds bearing fixed or variable rate income. The fund managers (Baring International Fund Managers (Ireland) Ltd and Baring Asset Management) of Baring US Plus Bond Fund, may invest up to 20 per cent of its assets in high yield securities and up to 10 per cent in sub-investment grade sovereign debt. In order to reduce the risk of loss due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates, the Fund will hedge a proportion of its exposure to foreign currency back into US dollars to ensure that non-US dollars currency exposure does not exceed 20 percent of its assets.
