The Defined Return Fund (DRF) is an open ended longevity fund that invests in physical life settlements. Now in its 8th year since launch, the fund uses a tried and tested methodology to deliver uncorrelated net returns of around 8% p.a. with minimal volatility. The fund's success is the net result of the fund manager's extremely conservative approach to valuing the fund's underlying assets, combined with an asset acquisition strategy that reflects some of the strictest criteria in the industry.

The fund is actively managed to ensure that the portfolio is ideally balanced for optimum diversification, with the underlying assets being systematically reviewed and updated on a regular basis. The fund's tax efficient structure, sound currency hedging strategy and consistent liquidity management all contribute to the remarkable success that it has enjoyed to date, enabling the fund to retain its over-riding objective of delivering consistent and equitable returns to all its investors.
