Investec Asian Equity Fund

Objective
The Asian Equity Fund will be managed actively, with an emphasis on the long-term. The investments of this Fund shall be made in equities of companies established and listed on a recognised exchange in Asia excluding Japan. The Fund will invest primarily in the markets of Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, The Philippines, Indonesia, China and India, but may also invest in the region's other markets such as Australia and New Zealand. The stock selection process will be research driven, taking into account both macro-economic developments and stock specific factors. Country, economic sector and stock selection are likely to be important drivers of the Fund's performance over time. Where investments are made in assets not denominated in US$, efficient portfolio management techniques may be used to minimise any currency risk. At least two thirds of the investments shall be made in the equities described above
